Incision opening

Well I'm glad I took everyone's advice and didn't end up having sex when the mood struck. I'm three weeks pp tomorrow, and today the very right end of my incision opened slightly and is weeping. Not a lot of blood, but a little. I have an appointment tomorrow so I'm not really panicked. But I really need a shower. Can I take one? Should I cover it with something? Would I be better off just washing the important parts and waiting till after my appointment?

i'm not an expert but considering we could shower at the hospital 1 or 2 days pp then i'm sure a shower would be fine...just make sure you're gentle when you dry it by just patting it.

You can shower. I wouldnt wash it or anything, though.

My incision opened up twice PP. My OB advise me I could shower, but not to use soap on the area. Just let water run over it. Dry it very gently but thoroughly-using a blow dryer on low helps. I used Tefla non-adhesive gauze pads to keep mine covered and dry throughout my healing process. GL!
